WhatsApp To Share User’s Phone Number With Facebook

WhatsApp on August 25th 2016 updated its privacy policy for the first time after it became a part of Facebook, outlining the ways in which businesses will be able to create more targeted advertising on Facebook using WhatsApp.

Amazon Launches Vehicles

Amazon is getting its feet wet in the car shopping business with launch of Amazon Vehicles. It’s not a car store; you can’t buy cars (yet?) through Amazon.com. But it certainly moves the company much farther down the path toward selling cars.

For now, Amazon Vehicles is a research destination aimed at helping anyone looking to buy a car, car parts or accessories. It offers details on new and old cars, ranging — as Amazon’s press release points out — from a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (shown below) to a 1965 Ford Mustang.

Google Dropping “Mobile-friendly” From Search Results

Google says it is doing away with the mobile-friendly label that appears in search results. That does not mean that the mobile-friendly algorithm is dead, it just means Google is removing the label.

In its announcement, Google said that “85% of all pages in the mobile search results” now are mobile-friendly by Google’s criteria and thus they decided to declutter the search results by removing the label. The label launched officially in November 2014.
